WWE Raw kicked off Randy Orton adressing his win over Edge in the ring in the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at Backlash. Edge was in a hospital as Randy joked that Edge won’t be ready to wrestle any time before 2029.
Also, there was an announcement that Rey Mysterio’s son Dominick had accepted Seth Rollin’s invitation to join him on RAW, despite his father’s disapproval.
Randy Orton registered a win over Christian in the main event of Raw after hitting him with a Punt. Before the match began, Ric Flair came to the ring and once again tried to keep Christian from fighting Orton. After the match, EMTs attempted to take Christian away on a stretcher while a conflicted Orton screamed at him about why what just happened is his fault.
Asuka vs Nia Jax: Asuka vs Nia Jax: Raw Women’s Champion Asuka successfully retained her title on Raw, courtesy quick count from the referee, who took no time to complete the count of three. The rivalry between them is far from over and the WWE Universe can expect another title match between them soon.
Kevin Owens def. Angel Garza: Owens defeated Garza in the first match of the night. The match was sort of confirmed to take place following Owens’ attack on Garza at Backlash. Surprisingly, Garza was distracted by Andrade, which resulted in Owens picking up a win.
The IIconics defeated Natalya and Liv Morgan. After the match, The IIconics challenged Bayley and Sasha Banks to a Women’s Tag Team Championship match, either tonight or next week.
