With 207 new Covid-19 cases, Assam tally touches 3,900

After 207 new cases for Covid-19 were reported in Assam, the state’s total tally has now crossed 3,900.

Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said 207 new cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours.

The state has so far registered 3,900 cases of Covid-19 out of which 1,805 patients were discharged from hospitals after they recovered. The state now has 2,084 active Covid-19 cases.

Eight people have died due to Covid-19 died in the state so far.

Meanwhile, Nagaland reported five fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday taking the state tally to 168.

Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said that out of the five cases, three cases were detected from Mon quarantine centre while two from Peren quarantine centre.

He tweeted saying, “5 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 232 samples tested. 3 from Mon QC & 2 from Peren QC. Positive : 168, Active : 92, Recovered : 76.”
