The West Indies team has already arrived in England for the 3-match Test series. The first Test is scheduled at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton from July 8, with the last two matches at Old Trafford.

All the tests will be played without spectators with the Caribbean players already set up in their base at Manchester’s Old Trafford where they are quarantined in the on-site hotel.

“For how long can we suspend the sport? Cricket needs to defeat corona,” Madan Lal said while batting for the resumption of the game at Salaam Cricket 2020.

“Now with the upcoming ENG-WI series, the only thing I’m scared of is if any player has any symptoms of Covid-19 then cricket will once again get suspended for 2-3 months.”

“Problems will only increase from there on, even the BCCI will think about restarting. I hope this series and Pakistan’s tour to England go hassle-free. If everything goes alright then chances are there and you can start by October. The industry is huge and cricket is suffering massive losses right now,” said the1983 World Cup winner Madan Lal

Amid the current situation, the BCCI has postponed India tours of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
