Ayyappanum Koshiyum director Sachy hospitalised, put on ventilator

Popular Malayalam filmmaker Sachy has been admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur following a cardiac arrest.

Popular filmmaker Sachy, who recently delivered hit Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, is hospitalised and has been put on ventilator.

According to multiple reports, the director was rushed to Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala today (June 16) after he suffered a cardiac arrest. Sources say that Sachy was recently admitted to another private hospital in Thrissur for a hip replacement surgery. However, he had developed complications and was not keeping well for a couple of days now.

Sachy is apparently critical and will be under observation for the next 24 hours. His family members and friends have been restricted from visiting him due to Covid-19 regulations.

Fans of him are hoping that he would recover soon.

The director made his debut in Malayalam film with a film titled Anarkali. His second film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, featuring Prithviraj in the lead role, garnered huge appreciations from audience as well as the critics.

Recently, Bollywood actor John Abraham announced that that he had bought the Hindi remake rights of the film as he was quite impressed with the script.

The Tamil remake rights of Ayyappanum Koshiyum have been secured by producer Kathiresan and Sasikumar has been roped in to play Biju Menon’s role in the film. An official announcement regarding this will be made post lockdown.
