Recently, a daughter had to take her 120-year-old mother, Labhe Baghel, to a bank in Odisha’s Naupada to get the latter’s pension money after the bank demanded physical verification of the account holder.
The daughter, Gunja Dei, 70, had gone to the bank to withdraw Rs 1,500 from her mother’s pension account on Thursday, however, the bank official denied to release the money and demanded physical verification of the account holder at the bank premises.
Gunja had to drag her bedridden mother to the bank. As they reached the bank, the bank official, released the pension money.
